PAPA (People Against Poisoning Animals)

"Hello, I am starting this Blog because my handsome baby boy Kody (Alaskan malamute) was stolen from our lives by rat poison. It broke my heart and I feel it would be important to help people understand "Please don't use rat poison, it kills more than rats!" What people fail to see is yes it might help get rid of your rat problem, but it also has a huge effect on the Eco system. Poison has a huge impact on everyone, for my family even though we don't use poison we were effected by someone else using it. The first instinct of most dogs is to chase the small critter scurrying along the floor. which sadly our beautiful malamute did. he caught it played with it to death and when we found it, he didn't eat it but there was no blood. so we figured he licked it up while bursting its stomach. Most rat poison is in pellet form so if the stomach of the rat hadn't digested the pellets all the way then without a doubt in my mind, my kody boy probably ate pellets straight from its gut. Other cases of poisoning were discussed in Canada because people were using a stronger poison. Cougars, hawks, owls, deers, and even house pets were being killed of with high toxicity poisoning. Now your all think Deers? well since rodents don't have muscles to hold there restroom needs they let it go even as they run. If a rodent used the rest room after digesting some poison they could use the bathroom on grass or end up dying in a stream while decomposing. It can hurt so many elements of nature. There are better ways to go about it, sticky traps...which isn't the best way but if you really need the problem dealt with , its an option. 2nd option is live traps, which I think would be the better way of going about it. I know there are better ways to deal with it we should all work together and help our environment!"
